Introduction

This is my love letter to Wales. I am fascinated with it's rich history and rugged landscape. Within 50 miles I can travel over 5000 years. The Bronze and Iron Ages, the Middle Ages, and the not so distant Industrial Revolution all huddle beside each other amongst the verdant Southeast Valleys. This is where I ride and this is why I write.

ARCHIVE
Rhymney Meadows

Four years ago I first discovered this lovely little spot nestled above Bedwelty and between Tredegar and New Tredegar.

And it's a cold grey winter day in Wales. Too cold for a bike ride... so here I sit. It's a good day to work on the blog and think about the past. I am so thankful...

As Fall approaches on this chilly August morning, I cannot help but reflect back over the wonderful Spring and Summer we've had this year.

To get an idea of how my writing and photography has evolved over the years, it's worthwhile to check out the same ride as I posted to Ride with GPS in 2017; "Bedwelty Commons & Rhymney Meadows".

Cheers! ~ cm
